ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the mediating effect of self-control between smartphone addiction and academic procrastination in medical undergraduates. Methods:A total of 640 medical college undergraduates were selected by convenient sampling method. The self-designed general information questionnaire, smartphone addiction proneness scale (SAPS), brief self-control scale (BSCS) and procrastination assessment scale-students (PASS) were conducted among the students. SPSS 25.0 was used for descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis. Results:Correlation analysis showed that PASS scores were positively correlated with SAPS scores ( r=0.29, P<0.01), and negatively corrected with BSCS scores ( r=-0.26, P<0.01); the SAPS scores were negatively corrected with BSCS scores ( r=-0.33, P<0.01). Mediating effect analysis showed that the mediating role of self-control between smartphone addiction and academic procrastination were significant (effect size=0.13, 95%CI=0.03-0.26), and the mediating effect accounted for 38.24%. Conclusion:Self-control played partial mediating effect between smartphone addiction and academic procrastination in medical undergraduates. In order to improve the current situation of medical undergraduate's academic procrastination, medical college educators can intervene from the perspective of smartphone addiction and self-control.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of King's goal theory based flipped class teaching model on medical nursing teaching of upgraded full-time bachelors. Methods Upgraded full-time bachelors were divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group was intervened by King's goal theory based flipped class teaching model, while the control group adopted the traditional teaching model. A general condition questionnaire, SDLRS and CIRN were used to test the two groups. Results The scores of SDLRS and CIRN for experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group. Factors such as professional choice intention , group learning experience , self-directed learning experience and acceptance of teaching methods reform mainly affected self-directed learning readiness , while factors such as professional choice intention, character and self-directed learning experience mainly affected regis-tered nurses competency. Conclusions King's goal theory based flipped class teaching model helps to improve the self-directed learning readiness and registered nurses competency of upgraded full-time bachelors.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of the serum of patients with obstructive jaundice on myogenic differentiation of human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells (PMVECs). Methods Hu?man PMVECs were isolated and then subcultured. The cultured PMVECs were incubated with the serum of patients with obstructive jaundice or with the serum of healthy volunteers. At 24, 48 and 72 h of incubation (T1?3), the inverted microscope was used to observe the morphology of primary PMVECs. The expression of muscular proteins ( alpha?smooth muscle actin [α?SMA ] , smooth muscle?mysion heavy chain [ SM?MHC] , capolnin) in PMVECs was detected using Western blot analysis. Results The expression of cal?ponin andα?SMA was negative, and a few SM?MHC proteins were expressed when PMVECs were incubated with the serum of healthy volunteers; the expression of calponin, α?SMA and SM?MHC was positive when PMVECs were incubated with the serum of patients with obstructive jaundice. Compared with the serum of healthy volunteers, the expression of SM?MHC was significantly up?regulated when PMVECs were incubated with the serum of patients with obstructive jaundice (P<0.05). The expression of calponin, α?SMA and SM?MHC was significantly up?regulated at T2,3 compared with that at T1 , and at T3 compared with that at T2 when PMVECs were incubated with the serum of patients with obstructive jaundice ( P<0.05) . Conclusion The serum of patients with obstructive jaundice promotes myogenic differentiation of human PMVECs, which is probably one of the mechanisms underlying intrapulmonary microvascular dilatation.

ABSTRACT

This study was aimed to establish a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method coupled with Evaporative Light-scattering Detector (ELSD) in order to develop the determination of fingerprint of terpene lactones in Ginkgo biloba tablets. An Agilent Extend-C18 (4.6 mm í 250 mm, 5 μm) was employed as the analysis column and the normal propyl alcohol-tetrahydrofuran-water (1:15:84) as mobile phase. The column temperature was 30℃. And the flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1. HPLC coupled with electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (Q-TOF MS) was used to identify the common peaks. The fingerprint was further evaluated by chemometrics methods including principal component analysis (PCA), similarity analysis (SA) and hierarchical clus-tering analysis (HCA). The results showed that the precision, stability and repeatability of this method were favorable. Five common peaks were identified by LC/Q-TOF MS as ginkgolide J ( M ) , C , A , B and bilobalide , respectively . Fourteen batches of Ginkgo biloba tablets were determined. With the aid of PCA, SA and HCA, the common pattern of the fingerprint of terpene lactones was established. Samples were divided into 4 clusters by their quality differ-ence. It was concluded that the method established in this paper can be used for quality evaluation of terpene lac-tones in G ink go b ilob a tablets.
